Please make sure you’vce read and understood our terms and conditions prior to booking a session.

Booking a recording session

Session bookings, times and dates are subject to availability and approval. Golden City Sound reserves the right to refuse and reschedule any confirmed bookings. Bookings are made by the following methods only via:

Bookings are not valid until confirmed.


Payment can be made with cash or credit/debit card. It is the responsibility of the artist to cover the cost of each session in full either in advance, on the day of the session, or within 14 days of the session. In the case of special promotions, a deposit may be required. The remainder of the invoice should be paid in full within 14 days of your session. Late payment may lead to an additional fees, and refusal to pay may lead to prosecution.

Failure to produce full payment will also result in the studio withholding session time, all copies of recordings, masters or session files until all fees have been paid and funds have cleared. Golden City Sound reserves the right to implement alternate payment terms where applicable. Golden City Sound maintains one copy of your project, which is synchronised to the cloud. Please bring a storage device if you require a project backup.

Golden City Sound reserves the right to adjust payment terms to suit the client’s circumstances before the project commences agreed to by the client.

LongPay (Payment Plans)

Payment Plans are available upon request. Our Payment Plans are powered by the Stripe payment gateway for WooCommerce and attract a 2% surcharge. Payment plans are approved upon discretion.

Golden City Sound reserves the right to refuse Payment Plans for individuals or groups upon the basis of their calculated ability to make the repayments, or based on the outcomes of previous transactions.


24 hours notice is required for the cancellation of a session; this includes weekends and public holidays. If a session is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, full payment will be required to book further sessions. No Call/No shows that have paid deposit will result in loss of monies and studio time and deposit is non refundable. If a cancellation is made 24 hours or more before the scheduled session, the session will be rescheduled. Deposits are non refundable. Cancellations as a result of extreme circumstances will be rescheduled.

Work completed is not eligible for any discounts or special rates applied to the original package and is re-calculated at the service retail rates. In the case of the work completed or costs incurred by Golden City Sound exceeding monies paid, the client will be billed for the outstanding cost and refusal to pay may lead to prosecution.

Amendments to Recording Packages

Amendments made to the contents of services in a recording package will be dealt with in a case-by-case manner. Any extra costs or services as a result of amendments during the project (ie. number of songs, extra musicians or services) will be billed separately.


Street parking is available. Please be mindful of nature strip gardens in the area.

Breakages and damages to studio equipment

Any damage caused to studio equipment due to misuse and abuse will be charged to the artist/band/individual. Refusal to pay for breakages will lead to exclusion and may lead to prosecution. If an item of equipment is damaged or missing at the start of your session please report it to the session technician/engineer immediately.

Personal items and Lost property

Please make sure that you do not leave personal items unattended and ensure that you take all of your belongings with you when you leave. Golden City Sound is not responsible for any personal items that are lost or damaged on the premises.


Clients are allowed a maximum of 2 guests during recording sessions. Golden City Sound must be given 24hr notice when requesting guests. Clients must get approval from Golden City Sound prior to showing up with additional guests.


Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere inside the premises. If you leave the premises to smoke, please ensure that you are a safe distance from the studio and that your cigarette stubs are disposed of appropriately.

Food and Drink

You are permitted to bring your own food and drink into the studio; however, this must not be placed on any of the equipment under any circumstances. Please store your food and drink in a safe manner. Any damage caused to studio equipment due to spillages and negligence with food and drink will be charged as per our damages policy. Please help us to keep the studio tidy by placing any rubbish in the bins provided.


Moderate alcohol is permitted for the purpose of relaxation. Bounce staff reserve the right to terminate any session if a client or their guests become intoxicated and full payment will be due. Illegal drug use is not permitted anywhere on the premises and will be reported to the police.

If you cannot abide by the above terms and conditions, please do not book a recording session.
